From the Peaceful Revolution to German Unity – An historical exhibition of 20 posters

In 2009/2010, Germany celebrates the anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution and the Reunification of the country for the 20th time. On this occasion, the Bundesstiftung zur Aufarbeitung der SED-Diktatur, together with the Gemeinnützigen Hertie-Stiftung, is leading an historical exhibition in poster-format for historical and political education, as well as cultural work abroad.
The exhibition is directed at German embassies and cultural institutions abroad, as well as institutions world-wide, which in 2009 and 2010 would like to remember the overcoming of the communist dictatorship in East Germany and the reunification of Germany. It will be presented in the form of printed data to help historical-political educational work abroad and will be free. The presentation of the exhibition abroad is being promoted by translating the exhibition into foreign languages, and therefore exhibitions abroad will be led by the Foreign Office of Germany led. The exhibition has been put together in English, German, Spanish, French as well as Russian.
The exhibition is aimed at an international audience, and the history, and reasons for events are quickly explained for those who have little knowledge of German history.
